Zoe CHAN Ka Yee

Ms Zoe Chan (Chan Ka Yee) is an environmental professional specializing in EIA, EM&A, town planning and green building studies involving land contamination assessment, waste management and rating under the local BEAM Plus accreditation system. She has actively participated in environmental studies under the statutory EIAO process for environmental permitting and planning application in Hong Kong, as well as EIA and due diligence projects in Hong Kong, Macau, the Philippines and PRC. Zoe has expertise in various aspects of technical assessments including land contamination assessment, noise impact assessment, drainage and sewerage impact assessment, water quality impact assessment, waste management, safety, occupational and public health risk assessment.
For BEAM works, Ms Chan, being one of the key team members, has been responsible to coordinate with project team members and BEAM Society and also assist project team members to achieve credits to meet target grade. She involved more than 30 projects achieved gold or platinum rating in provisional assessment and final assessment under BEAM accreditation.

Daniel CHANG Wai Ip

Sr Daniel Chang is a qualified Building Surveyor and holds the qualifications of FHKIS, MRICS, RPS (BS) and BEAM Pro. Currently, he is the Senior Technical Services Manager of Swire Properties Limited. Daniel has over 20 years' working experience in consultancy, maintenance and facilities management areas. He served as the Chairman of Building Surveying Division of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors from 2015 to 2017.

Wallace CHANG PH

Wallace CHANG Ping Hung, Associate Professor, Faculty of Architecture, HKU; Visiting Scholar in Harvard-Yenching Institute, Harvard University . He is both an architectural practitioner and theorist on urban design, cultural conservation and community participation. His design from urban washroom in Hong Kong to academic building in China won several architectural awards. Also, he is a social activist to promote a civil consciousness on urban environment, community conservation and sustainable planning. His latest research, like Kai Tak River , focuses on the cultural identity and urban sustainability issues during the urban transformation process in Hong Kong and southern Chinese cities.

Karen CHENG Ka Lai

Ms. Karen Cheng is a Chief Building Services Engineer in the Architectural Services Department of the Government of the HKSAR and is responsible to oversee the building services contractor and consultant management, the IT development and integrated management of the department. She has over 30 years of experience in the building services field on design and construction, operation and maintenance, alteration and refurbishment of building services installations.

Vincent CHENG Sai Yau

Ir Dr Vincent Cheng is an Arup Fellow and Director of Building Sustainability of Arup. He leads a group of engineers and specialists practicing primarily on sustainable and smart building developments and low carbon building design in East Asia Region. He has been involving in many pivotal projects of green buildings including Kai Tak Sports Park, BEAM Plus NB V2 Major Revision, CIC Zero Carbon Building, District Cooling projects in KTD and WKCD as well as the Hysan Place. Under his leadership, Arup was named �the BEAM consultant with most BEAM Plus Final and Provisional Platinum Projects� by HKGBC in 2015. Dr Cheng is a Director of HKGBC; a committee member of Energy Advisory Committee and Energy Efficiency and Conservation and Renewable Energy Sub-committee of Environment Bureau of HKSAR; a committee member of Expanded Building Committee and Task Force on Design & Construction Requirements for Energy Efficiency of Buildings of Buildings Department of HKSAR. He has served professional bodies championing the sustainability development of Hong Kong, including PGBC, BEC and HKIE. He is also a member of Advisory Committee of the School of Energy and Environment of CityU and the School of Engineering of HKUST.

Andy CHEUNG Wai Hin

Andy Cheung is a specialist with over 14-years experience in energy conservation, environmental management, built environment, green building assessment and sustainability development. Now, he is leading consultant team in green building and sustainability development for ENVIRON HK Ltd. In the past, he worked as consultant for a building physic team and led the sustainability development team for Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong Ltd in Beijing. He also worked for more than 8 years as Energy Manager in the Estates Management Office of the Chinese University of Hong Kong for multi-discipline sustainable development programmes ranging from strategic planning, project enforcement, KPI review, educational and promotional activities, policy development and implementation. For Facilitates Management, he worked for 2 years in EC Harris for corporate environmental management of HSBC Portfolios. His experience includes studies, project works and educational programmes in energy management, renewable energy application, energy and carbon audit, benchmarking, green building assessment, design review, life cycle analysis, payback calculation, funding application, negotiation with NGOs, indoor air quality review, environmental award application, building controls, etc. Professional advisory was offered and integrated solutions were proposed by him. His experience also covers campus-wide sustainability projects like green award application, incentive programme for staff, campus-wide lighting retrofit and building management system upgrading programmes

Benedict CHEUNG Lai Shun

Ir Benedict CHEUNG is an engineer of the Drainage Services Department. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and Institution of Structural Engineers and has more than 15 years post-degree working experience in the construction industry.

Patrick CHEUNG Yuen Fong, J.P.

Ir Patrick CHEUNG graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic (currently The Hong Kong Polytechnic University) in 1985 and immediately joined the Hong Kong Government. During the last 30 years, he has been involved in the design and construction supervision of the building services installations for projects of various naturs.
He is currently the Chief Engineer of the Energy Efficiency Office of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department leading teams of professionals responsible for enforcing the Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance, promoting the wider use of water-cooled air-conditioning systems, energy efficient features and renewable energy, and overseeing the implementation of the district cooling system in Kai Tak Development and various energy efficiency and conservation initiatives in Hong Kong.
He is the fellow member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE) and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (FCIBSE).

Tony CHEUNG Wai Hung

Mr Cheung is one of the Section Heads in Cross Boundary & International Group of the Environmental Protection Department, HKSAR Government. Apart from general liaison under a number of cross-boundary collaboration platforms, Mr Cheung also takes care of the planning of Eco Expo Asia and promotion of carbon audit and management for private companies. One of Mr Cheung?s main areas of business is the setting up and management of the Carbon Footprint Repository for listed companies in Hong Kong, which enables listed companies to disclose their carbon footprints as a result of their business operations and share successful stories on carbon management and practices with the public. Mr Cheung has also been working closely with the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited on encouraging listed companies in Hong Kong to join the carbon audit practices with a view to promoting more and more private sectors, including listed companies? subsidiaries, tenants, supply chain companies and others to join the global efforts in combating climate change.

Victor CHEUNG Chi Kong

Ir Victor Cheung is a Registered Professional Engineer with extensive experience in the field of electrical and mechanical engineering, covering a wide spectrum of projects. He is a Director of J Roger Preston Ltd, a leading E&M consultancy practice in the Southeast Asia Region. Victor is active in promoting energy efficiency for buildings and has been heavily involved in the drafting of the Building Energy Codes for Hong Kong. He was a member of the Technical Task Force and Trade Task Force on the Mandatory Implementation of the Building Energy Codes. Victor was the President of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) in 2014/2015, Director of BEAM Society Ltd, Director of Professional Green Building Council and member of various Committees HKGBC. He was also a member of the Energy Advisory Committee.

Calvin CHIU Ka Fai

Dr. Chiu has over 20 years' experience in environmental and microclimate/green building studies for both government and private clients. He is an environmental professional specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment, town planning, air ventilation assessment (AVA) including expert evaluation and green building studies under the local BEAM Plus and LEED accreditation system. He has expertise in various aspects of technical assessments including noise impact assessment, air quality impact assessment, hazard assessment, air ventilation assessment, drainage and sewerage impact assessment, water quality impact assessment, safety, occupational and public health risk assessment. Dr. Chiu is well-versed in a number of commercial CFD codes, including PHOENICS, FLUENT and FLOVENT software, generally used in AVA and environmental studies. He also has experience in coordinating work with wind tunnel facility in Hong Kong and overseas for carrying out pedestrian comfort and air ventilation assessment. He is the term consultant of Planning Department and was responsible to prepare air ventilation assessment for a number of outline zoning plans and took part in environmental building design studies for public rental housing developments in Hong Kong. He was involved in microclimate studies as early as in 1999/2000 for private developments in Tseung Kwan O and North Lantau. In addition, he is familiar with all environmental issues and regulatory requirements in relation to new construction from town planning (e.g. EIA studies) to detailed design and construction (e.g. indoor acoustic studies, acoustic mitigation measures, environmental monitoring and audit, construction environmental impact mitigations) stages.

Rebecca CHIU Lai Har

Rebecca L.H. Chiu has specialized in housing education and housing studies since 1987, and in housing and urban sustainability issues since 1997. Currently she is Professor at the Department of Urban Planning and Design, and the Director of the Centre of Urban Studies and Urban Planning of the University of Hong Kong. Her current research interests are housing and urban sustainability issues in high-density Asian cities, especially China, comparative housing policies in Asia, and housing policy transfer. She is the Founder Chairman of the Asia Pacific Network for Housing Research, and the Director of Affordable Housing Research Network at HKU. She has been appointed to government boards and appeal panels related to housing, planning, urban renewal, natural and heritage conservation in Hong Kong.

Benny CHOW Ka Ming

Dr. Benny Chow is the Director of Sustainability at Aedas Ltd, focusing on sustainable building design, building physics, Green-BIM, building performance simulation, and healthcare engineering design and research. Dr. Chow is now appointed as the Director of BEAM Society Limited, the committee member of the USGBC LEED Data Centers Advisory (China) Committee, the committee member of the CSUC China Green Building Council, and the Leader of the Ventilation & Health TWG (ASHRAE 170) of ASHRAE (Hong Kong Chapter).

Dr. Chow was the Honorary Associate Professor in the HKU Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Adjunct Associate Professor of the CUHK Institute of the Earth and Space Information Science, and is currently the Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK focusing on health-related built environment research. Dr. Chow brings with him more than 25 years of experience in Sustainable Design and involved in more than 400 projects located in more than 40 cities.

Tin Tai CHOW

Dr TT Chow is an Associate Professor at the City University of Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong, and a PhD from the Energy Systems Research Unit of the University of Strathclyde. He is the Director of Building Energy and Environmental Technology Research Unit at the City University of Hong Kong. He contributes to many prestigious international journals and conferences as committee members and invited speakers, like the editorial board member of the Journal of Building Performance Simulation, and the Chairman of the 4th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality, Ventilation and Energy Conservation in Buildings (IAQVEC 2001). He have had guest professorship in a number of universities including the Hunan University and the University of Science and Technology of China.

Tak Yip CHOY

Mr. T.Y. CHOY is a Senior Waterworks Chemist in the Water Supplies Department; he earned his B.Sc. Chemistry at the University of Hong Kong. He holds a Master Degree in Environmental Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has extensive experience in the application of international standards on water quality control and maintaining the stringent quality assurance programme for water quality monitoring of the Department. He actively participated in the formulation and the implementation of the Water Safety Plan, a proactive mechanism to ensure the safety of drinking water for the protection of public health, and conducting compliance and surveillance audits on this area. He is also familiar with the quality standards adopted by the Water Authority for approving pipes and fittings to be installed in the water supply plumbing system.

Gary CHU Wai Yip

Ir Gary CHU is an electrical and mechanical engineer of the Drainage Services Department (DSD). He has more than 15 years post qualification working experience in the construction industry and is currently a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Mechanical and Building Services Discipline. He is now responsible for administration of a DBO contract for operations and maintenance of Pillar Point Sewage Treatment Works. His works include all the project management issues, development of contract administration guidelines, liaison with relevant government departments, etc. as well as participate study review for the new developments in Tucm Mun district. He also takes past in implementation of total asset management system in the E&M Branch of DSD.

Colin CHUNG Chi Leong

Ir Colin Chung is an Executive Director of Parsons Brinckerhoff (Asia) Ltd (PBA) and a Fellow Member of the HK Institution of Engineers and many international institutions. He is an experienced building services engineer and has extensive knowledge in green building design. He is a LEED AP (BD+C), BEAM Pro and a member of the Green Building Labelling Committee of the Hong Kong Green Building Council. He was the first PBA employee outside North America to gain LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation. Since then, he has been heavily involved in numerous LEED projects as well as green building design throughout Asia.

Lawrence CHUNG Kam Wing

I was an Assistant Director of the Hong Kong Housing Authority, leading a multi-disciplinary team in its Development and Construction Division to implement various public housing developments in Hong Kong. I also oversaw the development and application of Information Technology to meet the diverse needs of the Division. One of my roles in this regard was to chair a Steering Committee on Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS).I had facilitated the Authority in applying and integrating BIM and GIS in the planning, design, statutory submission, construction and post-completion of public housing development and construction, with an aim to enhance environmental performance, safety, quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Alexander M (Sandy) DUGGIE

Alexander (Sandy) M Duggie is a Registered Landscape Architect, a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects and the Managing Director of Urbis Limited. Since 1977 Urbis has undertaken over 2,000 projects throughout the Asia Pacific region, South Asia and the Middle East and has won well over 150 awards and competition designs both locally and internationally. Many of these award-winning projects Sandy has worked on, designed and / or directed personally. He is particularly concerned with the promotion of sustainable design and designing the public realm to meet the needs of modern society.

Carolin FONG Suet Yuen

Ms Carolin Fong is Director and Head of Sustainable Development of Dennis Lau and Ng Chun Man Architects and Engineers (HK) Ltd. She is an architect by profession and a BEAM Professional. She is also a LEED AP, GBL Manager and a Member of the Committee of Experts on Green Building Assessment of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies. Her area of interests include site design and passive buidling design.

Clarence FUNG Kai Yuen

Mr Clarence FUNG is an architect by profession, and has become a BEAM Professional since 2011. Currently working in the Development & Standards Section of the Housing Department, he is involved in project administration, BEAM Plus implementation and environmental researches. Major researches include waste management plan, environmental management plan, integrated Pay for Safety, Environment and Site Hygiene Scheme, construction waste index, Modular Flat Design, Life Cycle Analysis /Life Cycle Costing Research Study of Building Materials & Components, radon in housing estates, environmental responsive fa?ade, Common W-trap drainage system, twin-tank water supply system, and mail box type disposal system for recyclable materials.
Mr FUNG has also participated in several Working Groups/ Task Forces on construction waste, water efficiency, life cycle analysis, sustainable urban living space, green roof and climate change.


Ir FUNG Ka-wai is an engineer of the Drainage Services Department and a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. He has more than 15 years post-degree working experience in the construction industry and is currently working in the Project Management Division of DSD. His works include project planning, design and consultant management for the rehabilitation of underground drainage and sewerage networks.

John Anthony HERBERT

Mr John Herbert is an authority in sustainable energy efficiency engineering and a frequent speaker at major international conferences for green building and energy efficiency. He is frequently quoted in regional media for his key insights on the positioning of the Asian energy sector. He is the Founder and Managing Director of a sustainable built environment consultancy practice, Kelcroft E&M Limited, and he is one of the first BEAM Professionals accredited by the Hong Kong Green Building Council. Mr Herbert is also a Founding Director of the Hong Kong Association of Energy Services Companies (HAESCO) and currently holds the post of Vice-chairman. He sits on a number of industry-related committees including BEAM Society's Technical Review Committee, and the HKSAR Government's 2010 Building Energy Code committee.

Nelson HO Siu Leung

Sr Nelson Ho was in the past a Senior Manager, Facilities Management at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. He is an experienced building surveyor and a facility manager, possessing extensive experience in project and facility management. He has helped the Science Park buildings to get the first ISO50001 Energy Management System Certification in Hong Kong in September 2011. He is an expert in energy management and is a member of the Task Force on Energy Management System (EnMS) Certification of the Hong Kong Accreditation Service. In addition to energy management, Mr. Ho's major professional and research interests are facilities management, project management, sustainable technologies and standards, outsourcing management, maintenance, BIM- FM technology, conservation, rehabilitation and restoration of heritage buildings.

Tony HO Wai Lun

Mr. Tony Ho is Registered Energy Assessor (REA), China Green Buildings Manager in PRC, BEAM Professional in HK, Registered Professional Engineer of Hong Kong. He was qualified Certified Energy Manager, Certified Measurement and Verification (M&V) Professional, Certified Carbon Audit Professional. He obtained the Master Degree in Energy Management. His foundation of professional practice in building engineering sector has further extended to energy and low carbon management profession more than 2 decades ago. He assists corporates and organizations of various sectors improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon intensity in their operations in China, Macau and Hong Kong. To serve the growing of professionalism in sustainability knowledge for local practitioners, he was invited to lecture in Energy and Low Carbon Management courses in the Open University of Hong Kong. He was also authorized trainer for the renowned training course Certified Energy Manager (CEM) in China. He also conducted training and seminars for ISO50001 - Energy Management System (EnMS) in various occasions. Tony was member of Shenzhen Expertise Federation of Energy Conservation (SEFEC) as well as other local and international professional institutions. With his extended knowledge and exposures in the industry, he spends his endeavor contributing to the community by serving as the Honorary Advisor of Green Investment Promotion Association (GIPA) in Hong Kong. He was invited to join the Task Force on Energy Management System by HKAS of Hong Kong Government in 2012 and expert panel member of BEAM Society. Tony is the co-founder of Carbon Exchange (Hong Kong) Limited, situated at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, and is developing and applying various environmental technologies and services in collaboration with research institutes in China and Hong Kong.

Vincent HO Kui Yip

Sr Vincent Ho is the Managing Director of Freevision Limited. He is the Council Chairman of Building Surveying Division of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (2010-2012).

Wing Hung HO

Wing is the Associate Director with AECOM in Hong Kong. He has been responsible for the design of a variety of green building projects including offices, retails, highrise buildings, art and culture facilities, and airport concourse projects among others. He is a passionate advocate of intelligent passive design delivered through clear and concise communication. Over the past 20 years experiences, he has gained a wide range of technical and consulting expertise covering energy and carbon management, sustainable building design and building physics. He has a thorough understanding of the imperatives for designing and managing sustainable projects in East Asia. Currently, he is responsible for the growth and quality of sustainable design, green building assessments and consultation across Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and other Asia cities.

Alan HUNG Chung Yin

Ir Hung is a Registered Professional Engineer with over 20-year of experiences in construction, project and facility management, as well as engineering design, contracting, testing & commissioning of building services systems and BEAM Plus consultancy. He is a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and BSOMES, Fellow of the Society of Operations Engineers and a Chartered Engineer of the Engineering Council UK.

Yvonne IEONG In Leng

Ms. Yvonne I.L. IEONG

Ms. Yvonne IEONG is the founding Director of Y.I. & Associates Ltd. She is a registered Architect in Hong Kong and Macau, BEAM Pro & BEAM Faculty, and also an experienced Interior Designer. She dedicates to carrying out sustainable initiatives through her projects. Her green offices interior design for HKGBC Headquarter in 2011 and CC Wu Headquarters 2016 had gained several green Awards in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Yvonne had served as nominated Committee Member of Hong Kong Environmental Campaign Committee under EPD of HKSAR (2012-2018), member of China Green Building Council(2012 to present); Co-opted member of Hong Kong Professional Green Building Council (PGBC)(2008-2019), Council Member of HKIA (2015-2016).
She is also a Director of HKGBC (2014-2015),

She was the Director of HKGBC , had participated the steering work for BEAM Plus EB Revamp, BEAM Plus Interiors v.1; BEAM Affiliate Roll out, HK Green School Guideline and Green School Competitions. co-opted member of the Green Labelling Committee in HKGBC (2012-2018), Task Force member of Urban Micro Climate, Better Place for People in Policy and Research Department of HKGBC, member of G-Pass Steering Committee in Industrial Standard Department of HKGBC.

Currently, she is the Director of BEAM Society Ltd. (2016-present), Panel Chair of MA of Technical Review Committee in BSL, Member of Marketing Committee and CPD Committee in BSL. Member of BEAM plus Automation Task Force Member.

Tony IP Chung Man

Having received the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award 2016, EcoStar Award 2014 and HKIA Young Architect Award 2010, Tony Ip is a community-centric, sustainable design architect. He is dedicated to promoting architecture and green buildings to the public and serves as the Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Architecture Centre.

Tony has demonstrated a flair for multi-disciplinary practices and academic studies in the building profession. He received his Beng, MSc(Eng), March & MUrbanDesign from HKU, BBE(Arch) from QUT and MSt IDBE from University of Cambridge. He is a green building expert with qualifications of AP(Architect), HKIA, HKIUD, PIA, BEAM Pro(NB, EB, BI & ND), BREEAM AP, LEED AP BD+C & ND and WELL AP. Tony is HKGBC Green Building Faculty and BSL Materials Aspects Expert Panel.


Dr. Jiang education and past career primarily focused on building energy efficiency and sustainable building engineering, specifically, investigating technologies and strategies to improve built environment while minimizing energy use. Dr. Jiang obtained my PhD degree in Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on building energy systems from Drexel University in the United States in 2005, and both Master of Science and Becher of Engineering in HVAC Engineering from Tianjin University in China in 2001 and 1999. Dr. Jiang began her career as a research engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the United States in 2006. She worked with the US government agencies and building industry to develop innovative energy efficiency technologies and energy conservation policy, standards and codes for buildings and commercial HVAC equipment. Dr. Jiang returned to Greater China and joined WSP Hong Kong Ltd. in 2008 to continue pursuing her passion in building energy efficiency and sustainable building design. Since then, she has been leading a team in WSP Hong Kong to provide professional services of building energy efficiency design and energy management, sustainable built environment design and solutions, and green building assessment and certification. Dr. Jiang is specialised in low energy-cum-carbon design, she was the lead energy specialist in developing several of the ASHRAE's award-winning Advanced Energy Design Guides and key technical contributor to the research of net-zero energy buildings. Dr. Jiang has published over 30 journal articles, conference papers and technical reports. Dr. Jiang was named as Top 5 ASHRAE 2008 New Face of Engineering in 2008, one of only five young engineers nominated by ASHRAE to receive this special recognition who have shown outstanding abilities and leadership. During the past years, she played an active role in Hong Kong/Mainland China professional communities through conducting trainings and giving lectures to professional communities to promote green building practices. Dr. Jiang was appointed as Visiting Assistant Professor by The University of Hong Kong at 2012-2013 and she was invited to speak at various workshops and conferences. Dr. Jiang was also a member of Energy Expert Panel of BSL.

Vincent KONG Chi Yuen

Ir Vincent KONG spearheads Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) Group�s sustainability efforts and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues. Vincent has 20 years of experience in the built environment with leadership roles in various areas, including corporate and supply chain sustainability, the environment and ESG-related international standards-setting, second and third-party audits, accreditation and certification management. Before joining SHKP, he founded a regional team to serve the listed companies and state-owned enterprises including property developers and related businesses overseas.

For the past decade, Vincent has been involved in various sustainability-related task forces for the built environment. He currently serves as a Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council, a member of Climate Change Business Forum Steering Committee of Business Environment Council, a member of Energy Management Systems Technical Working Group of Hong Kong Accreditation Service, and a member of Global Sustainability Standards Board of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Vincent is a BEAM professional, a chartered engineer, a member of the Association of Energy Engineers, a GRI-approved sustainability reporting trainer and a Fellow of Hong Kong Institution of Certified Auditors. He graduated from University of Toronto (UT) with a master degree in engineering from UT and a master degree in theology from Regent College, Canada respectively.

Raymond KWAN Chor Kee

Ir Raymond Kwan is the Senior Technical Services Manager of Kai Shing Management Services. His major duties are:Manage and mentor a team of engineers, surveyors and front-line technicians responsible for providing building services and E&M engineering support for both the operation and A&A project management within several Sun Hung Kai retail assets.

Joseph KWAN Kwok Lok

Dr. Joseph Kwan is an Architect and Access Consultant with 40 years of experience having practiced in Australia, the United Kingdom, France and now 30 years in Hong Kong. He specializes in universal design and accessibility to the built environment, transportation and inclusive tourism. He is an advisor/consultant to ADB, UN-ESCAP and APNAT; currently holds official positions with Rehabilitation International, UIA, ARCASIA, TRANSED and ISO Work Group; a member of Rehabilitation Advisory Committee, EOC, BD and Chair of RAC-SCA. He previously held positions at TD and HKHD. He is Hon. Access Advisor to various NGOs in Hong Kong, and has given lectures in over 33 countries on accessibility and inclusion.

Laurence KWAN Wai Ming

Ir Laurence KWAN is a Senior Building Service Engineer at the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD). He leads a team of building services engineers and structural engineers, as well as technical staff on procuring various new government building projects. He is also the Advisor of Indoor Environmental Quality Specialist Support Group and Technical Manager of Indoor Air Quality Inspection Body of ArchSD, which are responsible for the research and development of new technology in indoor environmental quality and the measurement of indoor air quality respectively.

Timmy KWAN Kam Tim

Ir Timmy Kwan is a qualified Building Services Engineer by profession. He is a BEAM Professional, a Fellow of HKIE, IMechE and CIBSE, a Chartered Engineer, a Registered Professional Engineer and a Registered Energy Assessor under Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance. He possesses over 20 years of working experience in building services consultancy, building project management and facilities management. He has solid experience in green building certification project in both BEAM Plus (Existing Buildings) and LEED certifications. He was a steering committee member for review of BEAM Plus Existing Buildings V2.0. He has also been a BEAM Expert Panel member appointed by BEAM Society and an External Examiner appointed by Vocational Training Council. He is now the Assistant General Manager - Project Management of Asia Standard International Group Ltd overseeing Group's project from new development to all major asset enhancement projects.

Dick KWOK Ngok Chung

Sr Dick Kwok is a Senior Director of Savills Property Management Limited. He holds the qualifications of BSc, Dip Surv, FRICS, FHKIS, RPS(GP) and BEAM Pro.

Grace KWOK May Han

Ms Grace Kwok is the Chairman and Executive Director of Allied Sustainability and Environmental Consultants Group Limited (AEC Group; 8320.HK). She has over 20 years� experience in working as an acoustics, environmental and sustainability consultant. She specializes in environmental impact assessment and built environmental studies for sustainable building design. As a member of HKGBC Green Building Faculty, BEAM Expert Panel and USGBC Faculty with qualifications including BEAM Pro, LEED Fellow, BREEAM AP and GBL Manager, she has the privilege to work on the earliest batch of BEAM, LEED, BREEAM and China Green Building Label certified building projects in Hong Kong. Other than being a green building expert, Grace is also an experienced acoustician and a GRI G4 Certified Sustainability Practitioner advising on sustainability strategies and providing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) consultancy services to listed companies.

Grace is a fellow member and Immediate Past Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics, a founding fellow serving on the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals as well as a member of the Noise Control Appeal Board Panel. She also serves HKGBC�s various standing committees, including Communications & Membership Committee and Green Labelling Committee. Besides, she is a member of the LEED Indoor Environmental Quality Technical Advisory Group and LEED Data Centers Advisory (China) Committee. Currently, she is the Chairman in Environment and Sustainability Committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao-Bay Area Economic and Trade Association and Co-Chair of the Hong Kong Women Professionals & Entrepreneurs Association Environmental Sustainability Working Committee.

Joseph LAI Hung Kit

Dr Joseph Lai possesses a first-class honours degree in building services engineering, a master degree in environmental management and a PhD in facilities management. Dr Lai is a registered professional engineer; he had practised for over a decade in building services consultancy, property development and facilities management before embarking on his academic career. Dr Lai was awarded the Departmental Teaching Excellence Award 2010/11 and the Faculty Teaching Excellence Award 2011/12. He is the Programme Leader of MSc in Facility Management, a Co-Editor of the journal ?Facilities? and a Regional Editor of the journal ?Smart and Sustainable Built Environment?. In addition to delivering training courses and consultancy services according to his expertise, Dr Lai has served on the committees of many professional institutions and government departments. Appointed as a Subject Specialist of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, Dr Lai has chaired a number of programme validation exercises. He has also served as External Examiner and Accreditation Panel Member for various academic programmes. In particular, Dr Lai served in 2003 as a member of the Technical Review Panel: HK-BEAM 5/03 for ?Existing Building Developments? for the Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method (HK-BEAM) Society and, in 2007-09, he was an Executive Committee Member of the HK-BEAM Society. Since 2014, Dr Lai has been a member of the Steering Committee for the Major Revision of BEAM Plus Existing Buildings under the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC).

Ying Keung LAI

Mr YK Lai is currently a senior engineer in Drainage Services Department responsible for drainage operation and maintenance works. He had involved in a number of drainage and sewerage projects in the past few years. He has more than 15 years post-qualification working experience in the construction industry and is currently a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers ard also a qualified assessor of CEEQUAL, a sustainability assessment scheme originated from ICE, UK.

Chapman LAM

Mr Lam has over 20 years of experience in the field of traffic and transportation consulting through his extensive experience in Hong Kong, China, and Canada. His experience ranges from public sector planning and traffic studies, transit oriented developments, road safety studies, traffic impact assessments, to the design of traffic circulations/facilities for private developments in different scales. His extensive experience in designing traffic/pedestrian/public transport facilities for different nature, size, and scale in HK and China, together with his background in road safety will bring valuable contribution to the HKGBC in enhancing the contribution of traffic and transport aspects in a sustainable building design perspective.

Benny AU Pui Nang

Mr Benny Au is currently the Sustainable Development Manager of Swire Properties Ltd. He is responsible for enhancing the company's building sustainability performance. He started his career as a building services engineer and then shifted his career path to environmental discipline. He previously worked with consultants, contractors and property management companies which provided him the knowledge on building construction and operation in regarding to the sustainability aspects throughout the building life cycle.

Walter AU Tat Kay

Ir Walter Au is a Director of several engineering companies within Sun Hung Kai Properties Group, providing E&M contracting and green solution services for new project developments and property management in HK and PRC.

A Fellow member of HKIE and CIBSE, Ir Au serves on various public committees, advisory panels, professional bodies and trade associations. He plays an active role in reviewing and promoting green policy, implementation of ISO50001 EMS, application of advanced technologies and various energy improvement initiatives.

Cary CHAN Wing Hong, J.P.

Ir Dr Cary Chan, JP is a professional engineer and is currently the Executive Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council with the vision of driving the green building agenda for Hong Kong.

Cary is regarded as an expert on building energy efficiency by the industry. He pioneered �Knowledge Based Energy Management� in Hong Kong back in the late 90s. Using existing buildings as living laboratories, Cary has carried out a lot of researches relating to the enhancement of building energy efficiency. Up to now, Cary has published over 25 papers sharing his knowledge with the industry. A number of his work have won international awards, which includes Client of the Year - Low Carbon Operation Award by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers in 2010.

In 2018, Cary initiated a Memorandum of Collaboration to promote retro-commissioning in the Greater Bay Area together with 6 other signatories including the Government and Tsing Hua University.

Cary played a key role in establishing Hong Kong�s Green building assessment tool back in 1995. Since then he has been playing a leadership role in sustainable buildings within Hong Kong and abroad.

Over the years, Cary was active members to over 10 advisory councils and committees of the Government of HKSAR and he was appointed as Justice of the Peace (JP) by the government in 2017 with his immense contribution to Hong Kong community.

Cary was being awarded as an Honorary Doctorate by University College of Estate Management on 7 December 2019.

Chi Cheung CHAN

Mr Brian CHAN is currently the Engineer of the Drainage Services Department and a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and Institution of Civil Engineers, respectively. He has accredited the BEAM Professional qualification in 2015 and has more than 17 years post-degree working experience in the construction industry.

Stephen YIM Yu Chau

Mr. Stephen Yim is a Chief Architect of the Development & Construction Division in Housing Department of HKSAR, Green Building Faculty member and BEAM Professional of Hong Kong Green Building Council, GBL Manager and expert member for the Establishment of the Evaluation Standard for Green Building (HK Version) under China Green Building Council. Since joining the Housing Department from 1990, he has been in charge of several public housing development projects adopting micro-climate studies, carbon emission estimation and community engagement for sustainability.

Rumin YIN

Dr Rumin Yin is Project Manager in the Architectural Services Department. Before joining HKSAR government, he has worked in a consultant company as Building Physics Specialist, and has extensive experience in green building design and energy strategy, building environmental assessments on both large scale, small scale, residential and commercial projects. Dr Yin has contributed to various famous projects in sustainable site and environmental aspects, outdoor/indoor thermal comfort, as well as sustainable energy strategies, including Beijing Olympic National Stadium, Beijing South Station, Shanghai Pudong Airport, Shenzhen Vanke Headquarters, Hong Kong Disneyland Sunny Bay Station and HKHA Upper Ngau Tau Kwok Estate Redevelopment, etc. All of them are widely recognized as green buildings and received various green building awards. Dr Yin has also published high-quality papers at international conferences, journals and technical bodies, both in Hong Kong and overseas.

Gary YIP Ka Chun

Ir Gary Yip is currently the Assistant Secretary (Project Cost Management) of the Development Bureau. He attained the civil and structural engineering degree from the University of Hong Kong and is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Erica LAM Wai Man

Ms Erica Lam is the Sustainability Manager at Gammon Construction Limited. She has 15 years of experience in Environmental Management, Sustainability and Green Buildings. Erica holds a Master?s degree in Environmental Science and is a member of the HKIEIA, an Accredited Monitoring Professional, a BEAM Professional (2010) and a LEED AP (BD+C) (2009). Erica has supported over 20 green building projects, including many high-profile projects such as the Hong Kong Science Park Phase 3 (BEAM Plus Platinum and LEED Platinum), Whitesands, Cheung Sha (BEAM Plus Platinum), Midfield Concourse at the Hong Kong Airport (BEAM Plus Provisional Gold), Hysan Place (BEAM Plus Platinum), the University of Hong Kong Centennial Campus Development (BEAM Plus Platinum), CIC Zero Carbon Building (BEAM Plus Platinum).

Tony LAM Chung Wai

Mr Tony Lam is a Registered Architect, an Authorized Person and a Director of AGC Design Ltd. He is a heritage conservation expert, and his company is an architectural firm involved in urban planning, heritage conservation and many other projects.

Kwok Keung LAU

Dr. KK Lau is a Senior Environmental Protection Officer in the Environmental Protection Department of the HKSAR Government. He is also a Visiting Associate Professor appointed by the University of Hong Kong in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for teaching the noise-related subject of M.Sc. in Environmental Management and a Member of Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics.
He has over 25 years of working experience in the field of acoustics, noise control and management. His works in the Environmental Protection Department include formulation of noise legislation and policy, noise planning, management of an accredited acoustic testing laboratory, management of noise abatement programme, technical support of computer noise modelling programmes and enforcement of various environmental ordinances.

Vico LAU Wing Yin

Mr Vico Lau is the Technical Secretary of Architectural Services Department (ArchSD). He is a Professional Building Surveyor, professional property and facility management surveyor and BEAM Pro. He has extensive experience in project management of facilities upkeep including building maintenance, refurbishment, alteration, addition and improvement of government buildings and facilities. He is handling building material specifications and exploring sustainability and greening in government buildings.

Christopher LAW Kin Chung

Mr Chris Law is a Founding Director of Oval Partnership Ltd. He is also a Director of INTEGER China Ltd, an organisation which promotes intelligent and green developments in China. Chris was educated at Stonyhurst College in Lancashire, and studied Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. Over the years, Chris has received numerous accolades including Architects of the Year Award and the Outstanding Young Person Award in Hong Kong. Chris Law's design projects have received awards from institutions around the world including the Royal Academy of Arts, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Institute of Planners and the American Institute of Architects. Both the North site and the South sites of the Sanlitun Village project in Beijing, for which Oval Partnership is the principal architect, have been shortlisted in the World Architecture Festival Award 2010. The bamboo structure KPMG community centre in Sichuan has received many awards in 2010 including the Perspective Best of the Best Award, Sustainable Architecture Award, Design For Asia Award, etc.

Alfred LEE Chi Kin

Mr Alfred C K Lee was educated in the U.K. and earned his BSc and MSc in Applied Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. In 1993, he assumed the responsibilities of Waterworks Chemist in the Water Supplies Department (WSD) with extensive experience in the formulation of water treatment as well as water quality monitoring policies. Professionally, Mr Lee is a Chartered Chemist (CChem MRSC), Chartered Scientist (CSci), Chartered Water and Environmental Manager (CWEM MCIWEM), Professional Member of Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals (MHKIQEP), respectively and a frequent speaker in many professional events on behalf of WSD. For his institutional roles, Mr Lee is now the Immediate Past Chairman of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, Hong Kong branch (CIWEM HK), 2nd Vice Chairperson of BEAM Expert Panel for Water Aspects, and Membership Committee Member of HKIQEP, respectively. In recognition of his professional contributions, Mr Lee was awarded the Chief Executive's Commendation for Hong Kong Government/Public Service on the 2009 HKSAR Establishment Day Honour List.

Frank LEE Shun Cheng

Prof Frank SC Lee, Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since 2005, earned a Doctorate in Environmental Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. He was appointed Assistant Professor after graduation and has been working on indoor and outdoor air pollution studies, namely indoor/outdoor air pollutants emission source characterization and carbonaceous aerosol characterization. Prof LEE has carried out several indoor air quality studies in HK including IAQ in cabin air, office, classroom, residential flats, car park, restaurants and hospitals, etc. He has built a large environmental chamber in HK for emission certification of construction materials and consumer products. He was Chairman of the Air and Waste Management Association in Hong Kong from 1997 to 1999. He recently obtained a Dean?s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research Funding in 2008, and Best Paper Award on Indoor Air Quality Research organised by the Chinese Society of Particuology. Both are recognitions of his academic standing in the field.

Ian LEE Yan Lung

Ian has been working on Energy Management and Saving Projects since 1990s. He has been working on Energy Saving Projects ranging from Commercial, Industrial, Institutional as well as cold room, clean room and data centers. He has also participated in the drafting of the Building Energy Code for the Hong Kong Government and working in the task force for setting the criteria for the Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance.He has also other experiences as Consultant, Contractor, Client, Operation and Maintenance and Suppliers. He also got teaching experience in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Polytechnic University and Victoria University.

Jonathan LEE Man Kwong

Ir Sr Jonathan Lee is a chartered engineer in the discipline of building services engineering as well as a chartered surveyor in the professional group of facility management. With the abundant experience in building operation, he is active in promoting green building assessment, energy saving and indoor environmental quality for both new buildings and existing buildings. Jonathan is also a section head of maintenance in an international property development company, responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of buildings in Hong Kong and over 14 cities in the Mainland China. The managed scope covers both commercial and residential buildings, and are over 5 million square metres in terms of area.

Ryan LEE Wai Ming

Mr. Ryan Lee is a Sustainability manager passionate to strive for a more Sustainable community through collaborative efforts of different stakeholders. He is now working with Hongkong Land (HKL) as a Sustainability manager to drive Sustainable development in both HKL Group and Property Management levels. He has extensive experience on Sustainability management, including from policy setting, strategy development to final implementation at both building and community levels at different life-cycle stages, i.e. planning, design & operation. He has involved in more than 50 Green community and building projects in Southeast Asia and a number of his projects received international Green awards and certifications.

He has been proactively serving the professional and green business communities with his expertise, including Hong Kong Green Building Council, BEAM Society Limited, Business Environment Council, US Green Building Council and Green Building Certification Institute. He has also worked closely with Government, Green Business Groups and/ or NGOs to launch new environmental initiatives like the pilot of glass bottle recycling and food waste decomposing. Before joining HKL, he was a Team Leader of Building Sustainability in an international design firm, Arup for Sustainable community development, Green building design and certification.

Andrew LEUNG Yee Tak

Prof Andrew Leung is the Chair Professor of Sustainable Construction in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, City University of Hong Kong. He holds the qualifications of DSc, FRICS, FRAeS and FHKIE. His research interests include wind and earthquake engineering; fatigue, fracture and corrosion; noise and vibration reduction; environmental acoustics; structure vibration, monitoring and control; dynamic stress; jet fan and machineries; town planning and sustainable construction, etc. He is a Vice-director of the China Green Building Council (CGBC) and the President of the Asian Institute of Intelligent Buildings (AIIB).

Chi Fung LEUNG

Currently the Head of Building & Energy Efficiency Division and IAQ Solutions Centre of the Business Environment Council, Ir CF Leung specialises in green building assessments, carbon audits, energy efficiency programmes and indoor environmental quality consultancy, etc. A practising environmental engineer, he has been involving in a large number of building-related projects, ranging from large private and public housing estates, commercial offices, shopping centres, hospitals to university buildings. Ir Leung helps the development of BEAM Plus Manuals and delivers training for BEAM Professionals. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer, a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Environmentalist, a Chartered Water & Environmental Manager and a Certified Carbon Auditor Professional.

Jimmy LEUNG Cheuk Fai

Mr Leung is a professional town planner. He had worked in the Government for 34 years, working up from Assistant Town Planner up to the post of Director of Planning. He retired in Dec 2012 and is now an Honorary Professor in the Dept of Urban Planning and Design, HKU and Adjunct Professor in the Dept of Geography and Resource Mgt, CUHK.

Gary LEUNG Lok Man

Mr. Leung is Nan Fung Department head of Building Services & Sustainability and lead his professional affairs from new developments to all major asset enhancement projects. Mr. Leung holds a Master Degree in Building Services Engineering and is qualified as a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, United Kingdom and also a Beam Professional of Hong Kong Green Building Council. Mr. Leung has extensive design, construction & project management experience for awarding sustainable landmark building projects, ranging from residential & serviced apartments, shopping malls, to super high-rise office Grade ?A? office buildings and luxury hotels.


Mr MK Leung is an Architect recognized for specialized knowledge and skills in sustainable building design, ranging from high-performance new buildings, green retrofit of existing buildings to sustainability master planning and research. His projects include the first zero carbon building in Hong Kong, the pioneering sustainability master planning for Hong Kong Science Park Phase 3, transformation of the existing Jockey Club Environmental Building into a Centre of Excellence in Sustainability, and research studies related to sustainable design such as the latest Passive Design for BEAM Plus Upgrading and the Study for Design and Construction Requirements for Residential Buildings for Energy Efficiency.

Susan LEUNG So Wan

Susan Leung has over 30 years experience in private architectural practice. She practiced a few years in Vancouver apart from her practice in Hong Kong. She returned to Hong Kong in 1996 and joined Wong & Ouyang (W&O) until now. Susan has been involved in many residential and institutional developments undertaken by W&O. Her involvement covers all stages of the design from feasibility & planning study, design development through to contract administration. She is Project Director for Redevelopment of Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital and Residential Development at Peak Road currently. Previous projects include Murray Building Hotel Development, Mount Nicholson Residential Development, HKCEC Atrium Link Expansion, Pok Oi Hospital, master planning of TKO Area 86 etc. She served in HKIA as council member from 2008 to 2012. She acted as Chair of Board of Local Affairs in 2010-2012. Community works include member of Planning Sub-Committee under LDAC from 2012-2015, member of Administrative Appeals Board from 2009 to 2015, member of Appeal Board (Town Planning) from 2011 to 2017, member of Railway Objections Hearing Panel from 2010 to 2013, member of Contractors Registration Committee Panel from 2007 to 2011. She is one of the earliest BEAM Pro in 2010. Susan served in BSL as member of BEAM Plus Existing Building Steering Committee since 2014.

Tommy LEUNG Tak Chi

Mr Leung is a Technical Director at Parsons Brinckerhoff. He has over 25 years of experience in building services consultancy and has extensive experience in P&D design for different types of buildings in Hong Kong such as residential, commercial, schools, hospital and etc. He is also responsible for the technical review on General Specification for Hong Kong Housing Society. He was the Chairmen for PB PDFS Technical Committee. Yun Cheong LEUNG

Ir Kevin LEUNG is an engineer (Research & Development) of the Drainage Services Department. He has more than 15 years post-degree working experience in the construction industry and is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Guiyi LI

Dr Li is an environmental specialist with some 30 years of experience covering research, consultancy and management. He has managed/conducted more than 300 environmental studies and engineering projects. He devoted his recent years to the development of ZCB, the first Zero Carbon Building in Hong Kong, from the inception, design to construction. He went on to lead the daily management and operation of ZCB and undertakes to promote ZCB and low carbon construction technologies / practices to industry stakeholders as well as green living concepts to the general public.

Kenneth LI Siu Kong

Ir Kenneth Li is currently the Executive Director of WSP (Asia) Ltd. which is a leading consultancy firm with 3,300 employees in Asia out of total 50,000 employees worldwide. Ir Li has been actively participating in activities relating to the promotion of Green Buildings. He is the Director and member of Green Building Faculty of HKGBC, Chair of Water Expert Panel of BSL, Member of EU Expert Panel of BSL, Member of Assessment Sub-Committee of BSL, Steering Committee member for Development of BEAM Plus Data Centre of BSL, Chairman for Working Group for Performance-Based Building Energy Approach for BEC Code held by EMSD and Task Force Member for Mandatory Implementation of Building Energy Code held by EMSD.

Ir Li is also the Past Chairman for Building Services Division of HKIE, Chairman of Training Review Sub-committee (Group II) of HKIE, Hon. Bernard Lim is a Principal of AD+RG Architecture Design and Research Group Limited, a former Honorary Adjunct Professor of the School of Architecture of The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 1998 to 2019, and the Founding President of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD). He was Past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) from 2005 to 2006
Among his public and social services, he has been appointed as Member of the Hong Kong Housing Society; Chairman of Steering Committee of Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture and Member of Advisory Committee on Education Development Fund. Simon LING Chun Pang

Mr Simon Ling is a mechanical and BS engineer. He is also a member of Institute of Acoustics, HKIOA, HKIE, CIBSE. He has been working in P&T(M&E) Limited for over 35 years. He focuses on engineering training to graduate engineers and sustainable design.

Alvin LO Tsz Yeung

Ir Alvin Lo is an Associate Director and the East Asia Sustainability Skill Leader of Arup. He is experienced in the design of building services system and optimising building operational energy performance, specialised in the integration of MEP designs for low / zero carbon building. He has extensive experience on practical building services system design as well as the application of advanced analytical methods for improving the environmental and energy performance of buildings. He strives to establish goals and strategies for integrated sustainability projects in order to optimise building energy consumption, carbon emission and indoor and outdoor environmental performance.

Christina LO Oi Ling

Ms Christina Lo is a seasoned urban planner with a unique mix of experience including academic, professional practice, public and private sector, local and overseas. Christina is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (DUPAD), the University of Hong Kong. She is teaching the Community Planning Studio course in the Master of Urban Planning (MUP) program which is aimed at training students in developing sustainable development strategies through community planning. The course has conducted community planning and community engagement programs in a number of districts in Hong Kong including Lamma Island, Tung Chung, Aberdeen, and older areas facing urban renewal pressures including Yau Tsim Mong and Kowloon City. Christina also taught sustainability planning courses including the �Planning Sustainable Cities and Regions�, �Environmental Planning and Management�; �Sustainable Development and Environmental Planning� with her professional experience in the area, including the development of a municipal strategic plan based on the sustainable development principles. On professional practice, Christina has recently undertaken a number of community planning/community engagement projects including the �Hung Shui Kiu New Development Area Planning and Engineering Study Stage Two Community Engagement (for the Preliminary Outline Development Plan)�, �Conceptual Master Plan for the Western Harbourfront�, �The MTR South Island Line (West) Community Workshop�, and �Macau Urban Planning Institute Public Consultation and Community Workshop (on the future planning direction of Macau)�. Before returning to Hong Kong and taking up full time teaching, Christina worked for the City of Brampton, Canada. She was the lead planner for the City�s Official Plan Review that had culminated in the production of a new Official Plan (over 300 pages and 16 schedules created on GIS), providing the blueprint for land use planning and development for the next 25+years (i.e. up to 2031). The Plan includes a progressive growth management and sustainable development strategy. Christina had developed and written several sections of the Plan including the sustainable city concept, urban design, natural heritage and environmental management, and cultural heritage policies. She had participated in the design and undertaken the implementation of an extensive public consultation and communication program coordinated under the �Our Brampton, Our Future� branding program which had led to the approval and adoption of the revised Official Plan. The project was one of the three finalists for the 2007 World Leadership Awards � Town Planning category in the UK. In Hong Kong, Christina has extensive working experience in both the public and private sectors and on a range of projects from new town development to urban renewal, statutory planning to planning research and studies. She has also served on various professional and government bodies/committees including the Planners Registration Board (currently as the Vice Chairperson); the Hong Kong Institute of Planners; Professional Persons Environmental Consultative Committee; and Land Sub Committee of the Lands and Building Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Irene LO Man Chi

Irene Lo is currently Chair Professor and Director of Environmental Engineering Program at the Dept of Civil and Environmental Engineering at HKUST. She obtained her PhD degree from the University of Texas-Austin in 1992. Her research interests include water and wastewater treatment, remediation technology for contaminated soil and groundwater, environmental life cycle assessment and cost for construction materials and products, and carbon audit for green building and materials.

Joseph LO Kwok Kuen

Ir Joseph LO is the Chief Assistant Secretary (Works) of the Development Bureau responsible for monitoring the delivery of Capital Works Programme and formulating policies on green buildings in government projects. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the civil discipline and a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Ian LUK Tsz Wai

Sr Ian LUK is a building surveyor by profession and is currently a Member of HKIS and CIArb. He is a Chief Maintenance Surveyor of Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA). He supervises management, operation and maintenance of all existing public housing estates in Kowloon East Region. Internally, he is the Chairman of HA?s Materials and Standards Committee advising on material standards and provides steer on research development for maintenance and improvement works. He is also the Chairman of Asbestos Working Group advising on abatement strategy.

Cheuk Ming MAK

Professor Cheuk Ming MAK is a full professor of the Department of Building Services Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an Honorary Professor of Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong. Professor Mak is interested in building science and human interaction with the indoor environment and urban microenvironment. His research interests include building acoustics, psychoacoustics, natural ventilation, inter-unit pollutant dispersion in buildings, indoor environmental quality and its effects on human (comfort, health and productivity), outdoor wind & thermal comfort, building envelope design and sustainable buildings. He has committed to research works for over 25 years and has produced over 250 publications. He gained various research funds from the Research Grants Council (RGC) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR Government), the University, and other resources set up by the HKSAR Government such as Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF). His extensive research experiences and commitment have led him to a successful procurement of RGC Collaboration Research Fund (CRF) 2014/15 under Group Research Proposals. He received the Dean�s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research Funding from his University in 2016. He has been serving as a member of the editorial board of several international journals for many years. He was appointed to serve as a guest editor of a Special Issue of Building and Environment on �Building Acoustics and Noise Control� in 2014/2015 and later joined the editorial advisory board of Building and Environment on 1st December 2017. Prof. Mak became the associate editor of the Building and Environment (SCI 2018 Impact factor: 4.820) from 1 January 2019. With his dedication to quality teaching and teaching development, he received the Faulty (Individual) Awards for Outstanding Performance/Achievement in teaching 2004/2005. He was the programme leader of the full-time self-financed bachelor degree programme in Building Services Engineering from 2006 to 2011. Apart from this, he has contributed to the professional community through his involvement in various professional institutions. He is the Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). He was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics (HKIOA) from 2006 to 2008 and has served the HKIOA executive committee from 2001 to 2012. He was the Building Services Discipline Advisory Panel Member of HKIE from 2009 to 2011. He was the member of Training Review Sub-committee (Group II) of HKIE from 2009 to 2011 and the member of Education & Examinations Committee of HKIE from 2010 to 2011. He was the PolyU Student Branch Advisor of the Hong Kong Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers from 2008 to 2010. Apart from his roles in professional institutions, Professor Mak has been speakers for professional training courses such as HKIOA short courses and local and overseas seminars/international conferences/overseas universities.

Henry MAK Kei Choi

Henry Mak is the founder and Director of BeeXergy Consulting Limited. He has been practicing multi-disciplinary in sustainable energy management and technical involvement for sustainability design projects assisting corporations and organizations of various sectors to achieve sustainability and energy efficiency goals. His analytical experiences include energy modeling, natural wind modeling, indoor environmental analysis, and numerical simulations for assessing pollutant dispersion, thermal comfort design. Henry is currently leading a professional team called Sustainability Science in its sustainability group, working on four main aspects: social responsibility, energy and environment, sustainability technology and sustainability science.

Kit Biu MAN

Mr MAN has worked in building and consultancy industry for over 20 years and has extensive experience in property management, building maintenance, conversion and enhancement for a wide range of properties. He is responsible for overseeing the O&M of buildings and managing the environment performance of the whole portfolio (particularly on Green Procurement, Energy Use and Carbon Emission).For some major projects, he is the project manager to provide professional inputs and to handle building improvement, upgrading, conversion works, etc.

Dennis MUI Heung Fu

Dennis is a generalized specialist with over 35 years of experience in project management, professional engineering and facilities management handling projects at various stages of their life cycle. He has been advocating sustainability and applying the related technologies in building projects since the completion of his dissertations on solar energy applications in the early 1980s. He has been contributing professional knowledge to the administration on environmental policies consultation papers and to the community via serving the various committees of Southern District Council and Area Committee and presenting papers in reputable journals/international conferences on sustainability and specialised technical issues. He holds a BSc(Eng) (1st Hon) degree, MSc(Eng) (Distinction) degree, a MBA degree in technology management and a research based Doctor of Business Administration with workplace related thesis on project management for sustainable urban renewal. He is also the Fellow of HKIE, RICS and CIBSE, Member of HKIS, Registered Energy Assessor, HKGBC Green Building Faculty Member (2015-19).

Danny NG Wan Tin

Ir. Danny NG is a Director of Sustainability in ENVIRON HK Ltd. and is not only Registered Professional Engineer (Environmental Discipline) and Certified Carbon Auditor under Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), but also Registered Energy Assessor (REA) granted by EMSD. In addition Ir. NG is BEAM Pro (incl. BI) and BESTOO Authorized Assessor, for Building Energy Performance Recognition Scheme under Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC). In addition to these, Ir. NG is also LEED AP for BD+C and ID+C and heavily involved in numerous LEED prestige projects as well as green building design throughout China and Asia.

Edward NG Yan Yung

Prof Edward Ng is an architect and the Professor of Architecture in the School of Architecture, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He has lectured in various universities around the world. His specialty is in Environmental and Sustainable Design and in Urban Climatology for city planning. He is the Director of the M.Sc. Sustainable and Environmental Design Programme at CUHK. As an environmental consultant to the Hong Kong SAR Government, Prof Ng developed the performance based daylight design building regulations and the Air Ventilation Assessment (AVA) Technical Guidelines. Among many other honours, he has twice been the recipient of the International Awards of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

John NG Cheuk Yee

Prof John NG is a professional Architect, Town Planner and Urban Designer. He has more than 33 years' experience in the planning, design, construction and project management of high-density housing and redevelopment projects. Awards of excellence were won by many of these projects covering Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, Research and Green Building Design. He has presented extensively in international and local conferences on sustainable communities, microclimate, high-density housing and green buildings.

Prof NG has served as a Director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the Chairman of its Green Labelling Committee (2012-17), the Chairperson of BEAM Society Limited (2013-17), Honorary Secretary and Director of the Professional Green Building Council (2011-16), and Founding Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design. He was an Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture (2011-14) and Fellow of the Institute of Future Cities, Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently Honorary Professor of the Department of Urban Planning and Design, the University of Hong Kong. He is the advisor and member of a number of government committees and NGOs, and an active volunteer in community development, sustainable built environment, green building and post-quake reconstruction.

Kathy NG Tze Kwun

Ms Kathy Ng is the Principal Assistant Secretary (Greening, Landscape and Tree Management) of the Development Bureau. She is a professional landscape architect, a Fellow of the HK Institute of Landscape Architects, a Member of the HK Institute of Urban Design, and a Certified Tree Risk Assessor. She is also an accredited BEAM Pro. She has participated in a number of award-winning and high-profile projects, such as the landscape works of Penny's Bay related to the Hong Kong Disneyland, Greening Master Plan, etc. She currently heads the Greening, Landscape and Tree Management Section, focusing on policy work related to greening and tree management.

Mee Kam NG

Mee Kam Ng is Vice-Chairman of the Department of Geography and Resource Management and the Director of the Urban Studies Programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a member of the RTPI, a fellow of the HKIP and academic advisor of the HKIUD. She was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in the United Kingdom in 2016. She has published widely on community, urban and regional planning, place governance and sustainability issues in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Taiwan. Her publications have earned her six HKIP Awards and the 2015 Association of European Schools of Planning Best Published Paper Award. At the international level, she has been consultant to the United Nations, the European Union and the Municipal Government of Shenzhen. The Urban Studies Programme she directed is an Associate Member of the UN-Habitat�s World Urban Campaign, promoting the implementation of the New Urban Agenda.

Ray NG Kit Wah

Sr Ray Ng is a Chartered Building Engineer, a qualified PFM surveyor of HKIS and RICS, a Green Building Faculty and BEAM Pro, a Shopping Centre management specialist, and a Registered Professional Housing Manager. He is also a Fellow member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers, and a Corporate member of the Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executive Society.

Sr Ng obtained a Master of Science degree in Facilities Management from the University of Greenwich, and has been working in real estate industry, particularly property and facility management, for over 27 years, covering property management and operations, asset enhancement, customer service management, tenancy and leasing practice, financial management, technical and project management, health and safety, risk and crisis management, green building practice and sustainability, etc. of private developers, property management agencies and government sub-vented organization.

Thomas NG Shiu Tong

Prof Thomas Ng is Associated Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Professor (Construction Engineering and Management) in the Department of Civil Engineering, The University of Hong Kong. He holds the qualifications of FHKIE, FHKIS, FICE, FCIOB, FRICS, FHKICM, MHKICM, MAPM and RPS (QS). Amongst various research projects, Prof Ng was commissioned by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) to develop of a Carbon Labelling Framework for Construction Materials. By labelling construction materials according to their greenhouse gas emission levels throughout their life cycles, designers and consumers can choose more sustainable construction materials which should in turn help transform Hong Kong into a low-carbon city.

Edwin CHAN Hon Wan

Professor Edwin Chan studied Architecture in England and then learnt Law in London and Hong Kong. He obtained his PhD degree at the Kings College of London University. He is a Chartered Architect and Surveyor and is a qualified Barrister-at-Law called to both the English and Hong Kong Bars. He has carried out a wide range of research relating to urban development including: Sustainable urban development and Urban renewal/ heritage conservation; Low carbon cities; Healthy/Green building; Institutional analysis for building energy efficiency and transaction costs; Dispute resolution model; and Community issues. He has published his work in over 100 international journal papers and many book chapters. He serves as an editor or editorial board member of several research journals and has edited many books related to his research. To enrich teaching/research that is relevant to industry, he plays active roles in professional bodies and serves a number of government boards/ committees, including the Town Planning Board and the Housing Authority. He was the Hon. Secretary of the Professional Green Building Council (2005-2006) and a council member since, and the Treasurer of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (2006-2008). Recently, he has focused his research efforts on sustainability issues in urban renewal and governance, as well as policies for low carbon cities and the promotion of energy efficient buildings.

Kenneth CHAN Jor Kin

Sr Kenneth Chan is the Managing Director of KC Surveyors. He is a professional building surveyor and a professional property and facility management surveyor. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management, and possesses the China Engineering Consultant Qualification. He has faithfully served in the Professional Green Building Council and the Hong Kong Green Building Council. He is a BEAM Professional and has long been actively serving the BEAM Society Limited up till now.

Kenneth CHAN Tin Chi

Mr. Chan has acquired knowledge of mechanical engineering specialising in the design of mechanical systems and co-ordination for high rise building, mega size development, metro railway, road tunnel and various kinds of industrial establishments. Being an engineer in the mechanical and building services disciplines, his professional interests include the design of plumbing and drainage and fire services systems of railways, road tunnels, various kinds of industrial and commercial buildings and other specialised systems. He is also in charge of project coordination and PM role in latest projects and major tender submission.

He has been providing fire services, plumbing and drainage design, environmental/BEAM Plus advice and support to his colleagues of past and present employers. He conducted internal and external trainings to colleagues, engineers, architects, FM managers, contractors etc. This role requires extensive involvement in the design, supervision and troubleshooting for infrastructure and commercial projects.. He also has over 14 years of teaching experiences (since 2005) at PolyU, SPEED, IVE, ASD, BD, EMSD, Housing D, industry associations and courses/seminars. He was the Past Chairman of Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering Hong Kong Branch (One of the UK Chartered Institutes).

Mary CHAN Suk Fun

Ms Mary Chan is an architect who is currently a Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council. Mary is the Winner of World Green Building Council Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards 2018 - Women in Green Building Leadership Award. She was formerly an Assistant Director and the Head of Sustainable Building Research at DLN Architects Limited. She is a BEAM Professional of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, a Green Building Label Manager of the China Green Building Council as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. She also serves as a member of the Environment and Sustainable Development Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects.

Paul CHAN Yim Cheong

Ir Chan is a Director of Wong & Ouyang (Building Services) Ltd. with over 39 years of experiences in many different building types in HK & China. He has involved in the design of a variety of building projects where many had achieved Green Building Awards such as the HKU Centennial Campus, Hang Seng Management College and government APB Building renovation.Ir Chan is a fellow member of HKIE, CIBSE & IET and a Registered Profession Engineer. Ir Chan participates actively in the HKIE and learned society activities. He is also a HKGBC Green Building Faculty Member and BEAM Pro.

Paul CHAN Yuen King

Mr. Chan is a practicing landscape architect with academic backgrounds in Architecture, Project Management, Law, and Landscape Architecture. He was Director of Earthasia Limited and in 2012 he joined the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) as the founding head of landscape architecture. In 2018 he joined Otherland Limited as Co-founder/ Director. Mr. Chan serves a number of professional and public consultative bodies as well as NGOs. He is the vice-president of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects, member of the Harbourfront Commission, Honorary Treasurer of Professional Green Building Council, member of the Appeal Board Panel (Town Planning), and Executive Committee member of Playright Children’s Play Association.

Mr. Chan led the government funded projects Development of the landscape architectural profession in Hong Kong and its Positioning in the Region between 2013 and 2015 and Resilient City - Landscape Planning towards Climate Adaptation since 2018.

Peter CHAN Chi Keung

Peter Chan is a qualified LEED AP, BEAM Pro and building specialist consultant with over 23 years of experience in leading and project managing numerous sustainability assignments related to the built environment. These include: providing "green" building design and management advice for over 100 BEAM assessed properties; formulating sustainable building design options for 30 developments to achieve the superior BEAM/LEED Platinum rating; developing environmental management systems for 5 organisations which subsequently achieved ISO 14001 certification; conducting life cycle impact and life cycle costing analysis projects; and undertaking energy audits.

Sunny CHAN Wing Chung

Ir Sunny Chan was the Director, Projects of Hysan Development Co. Ltd. till to October 2018. He oversaw Hysan Group's project and construction affairs from new development to all major asset enhancement projects. Ir Chan has extensive design and project management experience of award-winning and sustainable landmark building projects ranging from shopping malls, Grade A office buildings, luxury integrated resort hotels to serviced apartments while holding senior positions in multinational property development companies. Ir Chan was the winner of the biennial Outstanding Building Services Engineering Alumni Award 2010 from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Thomas CHAN Chung Tak

Thomas is a chartered environmental engineer with 24-years local and overseas professional experience in various business sectors that include environmental consultancy, sustainability reporting & carbon audit, waste treatment facility operation, and civil & building construction management etc.Thomas is Fellow Member of several professional institutions which include Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE) in Energy and Environmental disciplines, The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (FCIWEM, UK), The Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (FIEMA, UK), and The Hong Kong Institute of Environmental Impact Assessment (FHKIEIA). He is also a BEAM Pro and LEED AP (BD+C, ID+C, O+M).

Wing Chi KAM

Gigi Kam is an Associate Director in the Building Sustainability Group in Arup. She has over 17 years of experience in various building sustainability, building services system and integrated sustainable MEP design. She owns specialist experience on zero / low carbon building design by adopting passive building design, energy efficient systems, renewable energy technologies and district cooling system. Her expertise also falls into building environmental assessment, in particular BEAM Plus, and life cycle assessment. She familiarizes with project coordination handling multi-disciplinary projects by utilizing both technical knowledge and good personal inter-communication skills. With her extensive technical experience on building sustainability projects and green building certification assessment, Gigi is also involved as the technical reviewer on various projects target to ensure deliverables with high quality.

Nai Kin CHAN

Ir Chan Nai Kin Steven is a Registered Professional Engineer with extensive experience in the field of Electrical, Building Services and Energy engineering, covering a wide spectrum of projects. He is a Director of Green Energy Engineering Consultancy Ltd, a leading E&M consultancy practice in the Hong Kong & Macau Region. Steven is active in promoting energy efficiency for buildings and has been heavily involved in the Building Energy Codes for Hong Kong. He was a member of the Technical Task Force and Trade Task Force on the Mandatory Implementation of the Building Energy Codes. Steven is the Active Committee Member in Gas & Energy of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), Director of HAESCO, BSOMES member of EMSD Electrical COP Wiring Task Force Industry Committee and Research Promotion Committee of ASHRAE Macao Chapter. He is also appointed a member of the Gas Energy Advisory & Appeal Board Committee By EMSD.


Ir Kong Ka wah is a senior engineer of Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, HKSAR Government. Before taking up the role of Senior Engineer in EMSD, Ir Kong was posted to various positions in Government Departments including Architectural Services Department and Fire Services Department. He has over 20 years� experience in building services design, consultants & contractors management, energy management solution and project management of a wide variety of government building projects as well as regulatory services.

Ir Kong has been actively involved in recent years in technical supporting the reviewing of the Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance, including the serving as Secretary of the Technical Taskforce (with trade participation) & the guiding of its Working Groups in the viewing, drafting & finalisation of the technical guidelines 2015 edition as well as Building Energy Code and Energy Audit Code 2018 edition. Ir Kong has also been involved in development and review technical guidelines on retro-commissioning 2015 edition and 2018 edition respectively. Ir Kong is now leading a team of engineers tasked to promote BEEO and its codes & guidelines, retro-commissioning and other Building Energy Efficiency measures to stakeholders & the public in Hong Kong.

Siu Man FUNG

Mr. Siu-Man Fung FHKIA, Director of Campus Development � The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), is an award-winning architect with over 30 years� experience in master planning, Green Building and sustainability design worldwide. Graduated in the Development Planning Unit from University College London and the School of Architecture from University of Hong Kong, Mr. Fung has practised extensively as Consultant and Clients� Representative in Canada, Hong Kong and Mainland China. With a vision to harmonize human, nature and technologies, Mr. Fung�s innovations were exhibited in his earlier project of Huawei Technologies� campus in Shenzhen, and more recently, various Green Building / Green Leadership projects for the institutional sector were acclaimed.

Edward CHAN Ka Hing

Mr CHAN is currently an Engineer in Drainage Services Department and a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He has accredited the BEAM Professional qualification in 2017 and has more than 15 years post-degree in the HVAC design and construction projects. He has also involved the Operation and Maintenance of HVAC system and sewage treatment works.


Ann T.W. Yu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Building and Real Estate of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has 15+ years of experience in the field of value management and 20 years of experience in the field of construction and demolition waste. Dr. Yu teaches in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conducting research projects and carrying out consultancy services. She was the Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong Institute of Value Management for seven years. Ann is a Chartered d Builder, Assistant Architect, Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager by profession. Her research interest includes C&D waste management, construction project management, value management, building procurement systems and sustainable buildings. She has a strong track record and has published extensively on the broad theme of project management in leading construction management journals and international internal conference proceedings.

Lap Ho YU

Ir YU Lap Ho is the Electrical Engineer of the Water Supplies Department and an accredited BEAM Pro. He holds the qualification of MSc (Building Services Engineering) and is a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Ir YU has extensive knowledge and experience in management and administrative work ranging from facility management to planning and design of various government projects. He incorporates sustainable principles into projects, building management and optimal pumping operation, applies environmental design to development opportunities and manages engineering teams to supervise the work. Energy efficient equipment with eco-friendly features and renewable energy technologies are adopted in his design. Safety and health management practices are implemented in a life cycle of the building. Planned maintenance work is undertaken to give high operating performance of engineering systems.

William YU Yuen Ping

Dr William Yu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of World Green Organisation (WGO). Dr Yu is an energy economist and climate professional by training and completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge in the UK as well as earned an Executive MBA degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in the U.S. Dr Yu sits on the Energy Advisory Committee and the sub-committee on Food Reduction Good Practices in Institutions and Commercial and Industrial Establishments, Food Wise Hong Kong Campaign under the Environment Bureau. Dr Yu is the former Head of the Climate Programme at WWF-Hong Kong and responsible for leading both public and business engagement programmes. He directed policy advocacy strategies and researches on environmental, poverty issues and social innovation. Dr Yu also writes articles for multiple newspapers on the low carbon economy, low carbon city and energy poverty.


Dr Conn Yuen is a specialist in sustainable, environmental and low energy built environment design. She founded CO2nnsulting in 2008. Her company provides clients sustainable solutions which are derived from first principle of thermofluids tested with state-of-the-art simulation tools. Prior to CO2nnsulting, she founded and headed WSP Energy Asia in 2005, where she led a team of specialists and engineers on sustainable developments. Dr Conn Yuen was educated in the UK, where she started her career as a thermofluids specialist. She is an air ventilation assessment (AVA) expert and has already provided numerous AVA advisory services, as well as expert evaluations. She has substantial experience in hands-on wind tunnel measurements and computational fluid dynamics. She has contributed to setting standards and benchmarks for sustainable buildings and masterplans, and is one of the consultants spearheading advisory services for AVA in Hong Kong.

Kwan Shing YAU

Ir K. S. Yau is a mechanical engineer by profession. He is a Chief Building Services Engineer of the Development & Construction Division in Housing Department of HKSAR and a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Mr. Yau has been involved in the research, development, management and maintenance of public housing developments in Hong Kong. He was heavily involved in the introduction of various green initiatives in respect of building services installation in public housing including the adoption of RFID in building services maintenance and the adoption of LED lighting fittings with integrated motion sensor in existing buildings. He is now responsible for overseeing the progress of building services construction work in public housing development, providing advice on standard and specification of materials and steering on R&D in building services installation in public housing.

Hon Fai CHAN

Dr. Hon-fai (HF) Chan has over 35 years of broad and extensive experience in environmental management and planning. He had worked in the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Agency/Department for more than five years before he set up ENPAC Limited (an environmental consultancy) in 1987 (which was subsequently acquired by Maunsell-Grontmij group in 1998). In 2002, he set up CINOTECH Consultants Limited (an environmental consultancy firm) and is operating it as its Managing Director since then.

Dr Chan has been Project Director or Project Manager of (a) Environmental Impact Assessment projects for major infrastructure development and strategic planning projects, e.g. Kai Tak Multi-purpose Sports Complex, South East Kowloon Feasibility Study ($20M), Update on Cumulative Water Quality and Hydrological Effect of Coastal Developments and Upgrading of Assessment Tool ($14M), (b) high-profile environmental projects, e.g. Multi-purpose Sports Complex at Kai Tak, Cyberport Development, Tonggu Channel of Shenzhen Port, Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse ? Odour Control Study, Shenzhen River Regulation; and (c) controversial and sensitive environmental projects e.g. Sha Lo Tung Development, Kai Tak Airport

Dr Chan has also considerable experience in cross-border liaison. He has been advisor to Shenzhen Urban Infrastructure Administration in the mid 90?s on the development of solid waste management. In addition, Dr Chan has extensive experience in working with the Advisory Council on the Environment, District Councils and local pressure groups and communities, drawing on his many years of experience, both in the government and private practice.

Apart from his professional services, Dr Chan also participates extensively in community services and delivers regular lectures to local universities. He also represents government and private clients as expert witness in Magistrate?s and District Court on environmental issues.

Matt YAU Kin Pui

Kennis WAN Siu Yiu

Kennis Wan is an experienced building services engineer working in the government for more than 20 years. Mr. Wan handled different types of government projects including various municipal and recreational buildings as well as R&D office buildings. In addition, he has also developed the expertise in fire safety for buildings and infrastructures when working in Fire Services Department. Currently, he is working on government policies about Building Information Modelling.

Suk Man KWOK

Ir S.M. Kwok is a Building Services Engineer by profession and has been a corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers since 1995. He is currently acting the post of Chief Manager in the Estate Management Division of the Housing Department, which is the executive arm of the Hong Kong Housing Authority. He had attained more than 20 years' experience in public housing developments in Hong Kong when he was working for the Development & Construction Division of the Housing Department. He had been involved in various public housing projects and environmental related activities such as development and implementation of ISO 50001 Energy Management System and Carbon Emission Estimation Methodology. He had also taken part in the facilitation of BEAM Plus implementation and energy saving measures in public housing projects, as well as studies of energy consumption in public housing domestic blocks.

Eric CHAN Chi Wai

Mr Eric CHAN is an Assistant Scretary (Project Cost Management) of the Development Bureau. He graduated with a degree in Architecture from the University of Hong Kong. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Srchitects, a registered architect and an authorised person under the Buildings Ordinance.

Samson LAM Chung Yin

Ir Samson Lam is an Assistant Secretary (Programme Management) of the Development Bureau. He attained the civil and structural engineering degree from the University of Hong Kong and is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Renata CHENG Wing Chun

Ms. Renata Cheng is a Senior Architect of the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD). She is responsible for providing technical advisory services on various land and planning studies and public buildings issues in Hong Kong. She is a registered Architect and has been promoting green design practices in the public architecture. She accredited the BEAM Professional qualification in 2011.

Ming Cheong CHUNG

Mr. Chung is an Architect by profession since 1991. He obtained his registration as an Authorized Person in 1992. After his 7 years of practice in private architectural firms, he joined Architectural Services Department in 1997 and is now one of the Chief Architects of the Department. He has strong experience in design and management of various types of private and public buildings including new and conservation projects. Most of the projects he in charge of involved sustainable designs and BEAM applications. He is currently a member of the Green Building Committee of the Department.

Lincoln LEUNG Wing Hong

Ir LEUNG Wing-hong is a Chief Building Services Engineer in Architectural Services Department (ArchSD) of the Government of the HKSAR. He has over 30 years of experience in building services works, including design, construction management, operation and maintenance, and alteration and addition of building services installations in many types of government buildings. Apart from management of building services projects, he also oversees the research and development activities in respect of air-conditioning installations, green building technology and indoor environmental quality to support ArchSD?s green building development.


Ir LEUNG Ka-fung is a Senior Building Services Engineer in Architectural Services Department (ArchSD). He has over 20 years of experience in building services engineering works, including design and construction management of building services installation in various types of government buildings, e.g. hospitals, police headquarters, clinics, public markets, library, open space and other municipal services facilities. Apart from building services, he has been also involved in health and safety of workplaces when working in Departmental Safety & Environmental Advisory Unit of the Department. Currently, he is the Advisor of Plumbing and Drainage Specialist Support Group of Building Services Branch of the Department, responsible for conducting the research and development works for the excellence of the technologies in plumbing & drainage system.

Suet Fai LEUNG

Ir Wallace LEUNG has more than 15 years post-degree working experience in the construction industry and now is a Senior Building Services Engineer in Architectural Services Department. His field experiences include building services design, tendering, contract supervision, administration, building information modelling and operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems. He is a BEAM Pro and the members of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineer (CIBSE), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and The Association of Energy Engineers.

Johnson WONG Man-kee

Mr WONG is a Senior Environmental Protection Officer in the Sustainable Development Division, Environment Bureau of the HKSAR Government. His profession is both as a Civil Engineer and a Town Planner. He has extensive working experience in the field of Environmetal Planning, the Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance together with associated litigation, and Sustainability Development. Mr WONG has managed the Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance process for major infrastrcture, land development and industrial project, as well as Sustainable Assessment for major policy.

Allan CHAN Kai Lam

Mr Allan CHAN is a Building Surveyor by profession and has been a corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Surveyor since 1996. He acquired the status of BEAM Pro in 2014. He is currently holding the post of Chief Manager/Management (Tai Po, North and Shatin). He has attained more than 20 years of experience in management and maintenance of public housing and he is conversant with both direct and outsourced management role. Greening and energy saving is part of his daily jobs as that has been incorporated in departmental instructions as well as contract conditions.

Tony NGAN Kwok Hip

Ir Tony KH Ngan is a Senior Building Services Engineer of the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD). He is responsible for the control and implementation of Integrated Management System and development of sustainable design and green building practices for the Department. He is actively involved in developing green building departmental policies and strategies, promoting green design practices, and organising greenhouse- keeping management for the office. He is also the Deputy Advisor of the Green Building Specialist Support Group of the Building Services Branch of the Department, responsible for conducting research and evaluation of new technologies in active green building design.

Chi Hung PONG

I am a registered professional engineer and chartered engineer in Building Services Engineering. The use and analysis of energy in building is one of my duty in routine works.To minimize the energy use in building by passive building design could beneficial instead of using introducing more energy saving accessories as it could save the initial cost, maintenance cost and operation cost in future.

Chi Sun POON

Prof CS Poon is the Chair Professor of Sustainable Construction Materials and Head ( at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is responsible for teaching subjects on waste management, environmental sciences and management as well as construction materials. His research interests include eco-friendly construction materials, waste recycling and management as well as high performance concrete. He is a member of SSC of BEAM Society Limited.

Larry POON Chi Fai

An architect planner with a keen interest in sustainable urbanism, Larry has worked in the UK and HK on a diverse range of development projects. He has served on several government panels and committees on behalf of the HKIA or HKIP.

He had served the HKGBC by being a GLC Committee member, a member of its Industry Standards & Practices Committee (ISPC), a Scientific Committee member and presenter for SB14 and SB17. He was also the Convenor/ Chair of the Steering Committee / Roll-out Taskforce for BEAM Plus Neighbourhood V 1.0 between 2012 and 2016.

He is currently a member of the Working Group Member for BEAM Plus Bespoke projects for HK Airport Authority (Terminal 2 Expansion; the Three-Runway Concourse & Air traffic Control Tower) since April 2017.


Mr Dan Rusu is a practicing architect and urbanist specialized in the delivery of sustainable, innovative and economically viable design solutions established in Hong Kong since 1994. As Director of UDS International he is responsible for the management and oversight of all aspects of the company's consultancy services in the field of green buildings and sustainable design, urban and regional planning, urban design, project management and architecture. Mr Rusu has a hands-on approach to project delivery bringing a global perspective to the design of local development projects informed by current international trends and practice, over 20 years of professional experience and membership with the Royal Institute of British Architects, Canadian Institute of Planners, Ontario Professional Planners Institute, Project Management Institute and Hong Kong Green Building Council. Mr. Rusu joined BEAM Society in 2005 and was actively involved in successive BEAM / BEAM Plus Rating Tool upgrades for New and Existing Buildings and elaboration of the soon to be released BEAM Plus for Interiors. Mr Rusu continues to enthusiastically support the cause of green buildings in Hong Kong and is a frequent lecturer in sustainable development, eco-city planning and project management.

Edward SHEN

Mr. Shen�s career as a professional architect spanned more than 45 years. Licensed to practice in Canada, he spent most of his career practice life in Hong Kong and Mainland China. He set up his own practice firm in 1990 and has since clocked up over 30 years of design experience and track record with more than 60 million square metres of development projects, encompassing planning, architecture and landscaping.
Mr. Shen started to engage in green building and environmental design about ten years ago, followed by the acquisition of a green consultancy business four years later in 2014. Other than the provision of standard green consultancy services on green buildings design, certification for green building labels, and the carry out of carbon audits, his firm has substantial participation in the formulation of national policies on ecological city planning, environmental landscape design, and research on healthy built environment. Mr. Shen also spares no effort to help to raise awareness on issues of Global Warming and Climate Change and the importance of each individual�s change of life style and habits to mitigate impact on the Earth�s environment.

Kai Ming SO

Mr KM So is the Executive Director of Urban Group. He has extensive experience in contract and project management, information technology application, integrated total quality management systems, change management, risk management, green management and property asset & facility management.

Mr So graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic and was awarded a Master degree in Engineering Business Management from Warwick University.

Mr So was the President of the Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executives Society, Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council ( HKGBC ) and the Co-opted Member of Executive Committee of the Chartered Institute of Housing (Asian Pacific Branch). Currently, he is the Chairperson of the BEAM Society, member of Green Labelling Committee of HKGBC and Vice-Chairman of the Association of Cost Engineers. Other than fellow membership of various associations, he is also a Licensed Estate Agent, a Real Estate Administrator, a Registered Professional Housing Manager, a Certified Facility Manager, a BEAM Professional and a Green Building Faculty.

Joyce TAI

I have been working under Professor Stephen Lau at the Department of Architecture, HKU and the HKU Technology Transfer Office / Versitech Limited, where I have worked on a variety of project types, including Urban Design Sustainability Studies, Grade A office, logistic center, residential developments, education facilities and healthcare sectors. Since working on building sustainability certifications, I have managed projects from initial design stage right through to completion. My latest achievement is being the BEAM Plus and LEED consultant for the Trade and Industry Tower in Kai Tak Development Area (TITKT) which was awarded the Grand Award in New Buildings Category 2014 by the HKGBC.

Thomas TANG Sek Khuen

Dr. Thomas Tang has 20 years of consulting experience in environmental management and sustainability specializing in climate strategy, environmental technology, stakeholder engagement and sustainable low carbon infrastructure design. Dr. Tang has a background in management consulting specializing in strategy and facilitating stakeholder dialogue. He is currently responsible for providing corporate and client sustainability services to the Greater China and South SEA regional businesses of a major design engineering company in support of planning, water and urban design, transportation, energy and environmental services.


I am a Fellow member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, specialized in environmental and corporate sustainability: I am a BEAM Professional, LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Carbon Auditor, IMS Internal Auditor and a PhD holder with over 20 yrs. international experience in architectural design, master planning, environmental consultancy and research. To date I have been involved in about 15 green rated projects that pursued green rating under HK-BEAM, BEAM Plus, China Green Design Label, LEED and Green Star rating schemes. I am also an experienced Specification writer which has given me a sound and updated knowledge on building material and systems. As an architect, I have a sound knowledge about HK planning standards and urban design guidelines, site parameters, site analysis and technical aspects related to site management. With my involvement in university teaching for graduates and professionals I am constantly updating my knowledge on green buildings and some of my courses are aligned on BEAM Plus rating scheme. Besides I also maintain a strong track record of research on sustainability related issues. My experience in the area of sustainability and green buildings evolved since 1997 with my involvement at the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre in Bangkok. I have been working on Climate change and sustainability related development projects. I am particularly specialized in Science and Education sector projects, mixed-use developments, masterplanning and hospitality projects. I am well acquainted with IBC, BS and ASD building codes and regulations, ISO 14001 and environmental sustainability standards and LEED and BEAM Plus green building rating systems.

Anne Lee (Cindy) TSANG

Cindy is a Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Registered Practicing Planner in Hong Kong with over 20 years of extensive working experience focused on Hong Kong�s development sector. She has been responsible for the successful delivery of numerous strategic studies and Town Planning Board Submissions for the Government, Private Sector and Agencies. She has been particularly involved in areas of Project Management, Development and Planning Advocacy, Feasibility Studies, Master Planning, Strategic Planning Policy, Infrastructure Planning and Visual Impact Assessments.

Martin WAN Chun Wah

Martin is the Director of Engineering at IHG Hotels Group. He has been working as Director for BSL since year 2012, and contributing in various Committees and Taskforces, such as BEAM Plus EB Major Revision Committee and Sub-groups, Roll-out Taskforce, Administration Committee, Marketing Committee, etc.

Raymond WAN Wai Man

Ir Raymond Wan is a chartered materials engineer, civil engineer and professional concrete technologist. He has extensive materials experience and served the construction industry for over 30 years in Hong Kong, China and the United Kingdom. Before his retirement in March 2019, he was the Technical Director of the OPTIMIX Group Limited since August 2000 responsible for all the technical works as well as R&D of the construction materials based on dry mortar and concrete technology. He is an experienced materials solutions provider for civil engineering and building projects in Hong Kong, China and overseas countries. He works closely with other engineering and design parties to encourage the use of green building materials and adoption of green applications & practice.

Stewart WAN Hon Chi

Stewart was the first batch BEAM Pro accredited by HKGBC in 2010. Since 2007, he has managed the adoption of Green building concept and BIM process in building development for Hong Kong Science Park and West Kowloon Cultural District. Under his leadership, he successfully introduced sustainability in built environment for the Green 18 and Phase 3 development in Hong Kong Science Park. Those buildings were then achieved Platinum accreditation from BEAM and LEED. Stewart also drives the innovation initiatives for utilizing BIM object database for new development. He has active participation in various conferences and judge panels for BIM awards. Stewart is a chartered engineer and a IT professional with fellow memberships in various local and international professional institutions.

Chiky WONG Cheuk Yuet

Wong Cheuk Yuet (Chiky) is an experienced arborist, botanist and restoration ecologist. His expertise covers broadly different disciplines in urban forestry. He is experienced in construction supervision, sustainable planting design, tree management, landscape works implementation, cultivation advice, compliance audit.

Chiky is also a part-time lecturer in related degree and higher diploma programmes with research interest particularly in tree management and restoration ecology. He has been providing botanical advice to the Center for Invasive Plants Management, Dept. of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences, Montana State University-Boseman on a weed control project.

Chiky is currently the Vice-chairperson of Arboriculture and Horticulture Industry Training Advisory Committee under Hong Kong Qualification Framework, Education Bureau, Specialist of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and was the past president of International Society of Arboriculture Hong Kong Chapter.

Chun Sing WONG

Ir Dr CS Wong is the Technical Services Manager of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, who is responsible for managing the operation and maintenance on building facilities in Happy Valley Racecourse. Ir Dr Wong graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Building Services Engineering. He did numerous researches with topics relating to building ventilation, lighting, air pollution, indoor air quality, acoustic and energy management. He is a BEAM Professional, Green Building Faculty, Registered Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist, Building Energy Assessment Professional and Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional. He is active in society contributions. He was a President (2015-16) of ASHRAE Hong Kong Chapter and Vice President (2014-16) of BSOMES. He is currently an Elected Director of BEAM Society Limited.

Hyvan WONG Tsz Yat

Hyvan is the Divisional Director of Jacobs China limited and leading the MEP and Green Building division. He is responsible for the MEP and Green Building business development of the company. Prior to joining Jacobs, Hyvan was the Technical Director of Building Division in Mott MacDonald Hong Kong. Hyvan was leading a team of building services engineers and green building specialists to deliver projects across the Asia Pacific Region including China, Hong Kong, South Asia and Australia.Hyvan started his career in UK with Fulcrum Consulting, a building services and building sustainability consulting firm with excellent reputation. During the years in UK, Hyvan has involved in various projects in the country and also involved in projects in Middle East and Asia. Hyvan came back to Hong Kong in year 2008 to take up the role to set up the Asia HQ for Fulcrum. Hyvan was the Regional Director of Fulcrum Consulting Ltd (Asia) and responsible for the Asia region business development before Fulcrum was merged with Mott MacDonald Group in 2010. Hyvan is a qualified professional engineer of numbers of engineering institutions with over 13-years extensive experience. Hyvan possesses comprehensive building services engineering knowledge and project management skills. He has been involved in a wide variety of projects in both building sustainability and MEP design. He has been involving in various building projects including industrial, waste treatment, Pharmaceutical and laboratory, educational, residential, luxury resorts, commercial, hotels and museums. He has successfully completed many iconic and award-winning projects.Hyvan has particularly strong sustainable and lean building design skills and comprehensive practical project experience in different climate including UK, Europe, Middle East, China and Asia. Hyvan has also strong computer modelling skills in thermal modelling and CFD. He is also a LEED AP, a certified BEAM Plus assessor (BEAM Pro) as well as a certified carbon auditor. He is also the technical member of BEAM working group and involved in the BEAM standard set-up and review process.

James WONG Wing Ho

Dr James Wong is an environmental and acoustic consultant as well as a professional engineer. He is the Founder and President of Allied Environmental Consultants Ltd, Founding Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics, the Hong Kong Institute of Environmental Impacts Assessment and the Founding President of the Institute of Energy. His Allied (Environmental) Group has been active in the areas of design and construction of sustainable buildings, roads, railway stations and airports for governments, private and international corporate clients. He has extensive hands-on experience in green building systems, establishing design criteria in planning of new towns, hotels, commercial, institutional and residential property developments as well as transportation networks.

Kenny WONG Ming Bun

Past Chairman of CIPHE HK Branch. I was appointed by the government as one of the advisory members for drafting the government's enviromental assessment for water use as well as the qualification framework manual for plumbing. I also presented a talk for HKGBC early this year in "Designing Green Intelligent Buildings: Automation for Washrooms". I am the first "Master Plumber" to be awarded by CIPHE in Hong Kong. 20 years experience in plumbing and drainage works including design, installation and maintenance. Be a committee member of CIPHE-HKB for more than 11 years since 2003 and be a Chairman between 2007 and 2010. Be one of the tutors for the Professional Diploma Course in Plumbing Design and Public Health held by CIPHE-HKB. Be one of the advisors for CIC training courses for 4 years. Luciana WONG Wai Lan

Ir Luciana Wong (Hon FCIWEM, FCIWEM, CWEM, CSc, CEnv. HKIE) has extensive experience in the planning, design and construction of infrastructure transport projects, water and wastewater treatment plants in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the UK. She also has experience in the comprehensive review of building projects aiming at conservation of energy and reduction of emissions through the identification of improvement areas, new technologies and applications. She held the position as the Chairperson of CIWEM HK from 2014-2016. She has served as the Chairperson of the Water Panel of the Technical Review Committee (Nov 2010 - May 2012) of the BEAM Society and Chairperson of the Technical Committee of the International Conference on Climate Change 2007 working with the three co-chairs of the working groups of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. She has served on the Advisory Committee on Water Resources and Quality of Water Supplies of the Hong Kong Government until 31 March 2014 and served on several appeals boards including Town Planning, EIA and the Accredited Registers Scheme for Healthcare Professions. Luciana graduated with a Master of Science degree from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. She is professionally qualified as a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager, Chartered Scientist and Chartered Environmentalist, a Certified Project Practitioner of the American Society for the Advancement of Project Management.

Susanna WONG Siu Fan

Trained in Hong Kong as Architect, Ms Susanna SF Wong is a Member of HKIA. During 1987 to 1990, she has practiced in private architectural firm after which she joined Hong Kong Housing Authority until present. Wong has been engaged in project management, and product research as well as design and construction of public housing development for the past 20 years. She was also one of the key members in the Quality Task Force of Housing Authority promulgating quality reform since Year 2000.
In driving environmental design in a master planning scale, Wong has been working on ecological greening on a regional context with involves various research studies such as vertical greening, reclaimed water and hybrid ventilation. In terms of social and economic sustainability, Wong oversees the application of value management approach in community engagement and value engineering studies. Wong also oversaw the sustainable development of a regional shopping centre, community hall and community open space in Yau Tong which has been publicized in international sustainable building conferences.
Wong has been actively involved and has contributed to the BEAM Plus Review hosted by the Hong Kong Green Building Council/ BEAM Society Limited in year 2011. As a step forward, she brought forth the environmental initiatives so arising into the promulgation of BEAM Plus Implementation Plan to all housing projects at project planning, design and construction stages.


Mr WONG Yiu Wa is the Waterworks Chemist in the Water Supplies Department and holds the qualifications of BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, MSc in Analytical Chemistry and Bachelor of Business Administration. He gains the professional qualification as Chartered Chemist under the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has over 23 years of working experience in the monitoring and controlling water quality and treatment process at various water treatment works in Hong Kong. He is responsible for the implementation of Water Safety Plan in accordance with the Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality issued by World Health Organization to ensure a safe, clean and reliable drinking water supply in Hong Kong.

James XIONG Jian

Dr. James Xiong is Executive Director in WSP and environmental management specialist with over 30 years of academic and practical experience in environmental studies, especially, EIA, EM&A and environmental issues for urban development, infrastructure master plan and industry. He has worked in various environmental organizations nationally and internationally since 1980s. Dr. Xiong was an Environmental Protection Officer in Environmental Protection Bureau and State Oceanic Administration, China. Since he is familiar with the Environment management systems such as EIA requirements and EM&A regulation in both mainland China and internationally such as UK, Ireland, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, he was also appointed by China Construction Bank as the tutor of Environmental Management System and legal requirement, Health and Safety Regulations of Construction Project in Hong Kong and Mainland China for its series Project Manager Course. He is currently holding three key positions being the Member of Advisory Committee of China Environmental Industry Association Water Pollution Control Committee, Member Of Environment Committee of China National Association of Engineering Consultants and Deputy Chair of Soil and Ground Water Environment Committee of China Society of Environmental Sciences.

David YAU Kai Cheung

Ir David Yau is a chartered civil engineer with extensive experience in construction and project management. He is the General Manager (HK Projects) with Longfor Properties (Shenzhen, Huizhou & Hong Kong) Company Limited. David has been a member of BEAM Faculty since 2010. David is currently the Chairman of buildingSMART International (HK) Limited (Term 2015 - 2019). At BEAM Society Limited (BSL), David is the IA Chair of the Assessment Sub-Committee and a member of BEAM Expert Panel. He was a Director of BSL from 2010 to 2016. He was Chair of BEC Waste Management Advisory Group (in 2013) and sat in several steering committees in studies conducted by the Construction Industry Council, HKSAR Government's Buildings Department and Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. Professionally, David is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Hong Kong Institute of Value Management (and is a past president of HKIVM), a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, a Founding Member of Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling and Founding Member of buildingSMART Hong Kong. He is also currently Honorary Treasurer and a Founding Member of Institution of Public Private Partnerships. Previously, David also lectured as an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Architecture, Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr Yau worked as a professional consulting engineer and director in an international consulting engineering firm in London and Hong Kong for over 28 years in the field of designing low carbon sustainable buildings, and infrastructure and of sustainability consulting across the Globe. He was awarded with Hong Kong Institution of Engineers - Innovation Award for the Engineering Industry 2013 for his role as the Principal Innovator - Construction Category Champion CIC Zero Carbon Building.

Dr Raymond Yau joined Swire Properties in 2016 as the General Manager of Technical Services & Sustainable Development Department. In this role, Dr Yau formulates and executes innovation and sustainability strategies for the company�s technical services operations across Hong Kong, Mainland China and the US to ensure its new and existing real estate assets are safeguarded and the standards in environmental performance, energy management and wellness environments are upheld.

Under his leadership, Dr Yau pioneers many new initiatives that are pivotal to the long-term sustainable development of Swire Properties. These include the formulation of the company- wide Sustainable Development SD 2030 Vision and Strategies in 2016; implementation of monitoring-based commissioning of all existing portfolios for deep energy savings since 2017; digital transformation of technical services and cloud-based AI energy management platforms in 2019; and the Climate Risks (Physical and Transition) Assessment of the company�s global assets. Dr Yau led the preparation of the Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) framework of the company�s first Green Bond of US$500m in 2018 in which both Green and WELL features are recognised CAPEX expenditure. In 2018 Dr Yau led the team to establish the Science-Based Targets (SBT) of Swire Properties for long-term decarbonization by 2030 in accordance with The Paris Agreement and climate science that was officially approved by SBTi in November 2019.

Swire Properties has been listed in two major global sustainability indices � DJSI World and the GRESB � in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and was ranked the top performing company of all industries in the 2018 and 2019 Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index. The company�s sustainable development efforts are recognised with the 2018 World Green Building Council�s Business Leadership in Sustainability Award and �Better Places for People� Special Recognition, as well as the U.S. Green Building Council�s 2018 Greenbuild China Leadership Award.

Dr Yau has been Board of Director of Business Environment Council (BEC) since 2016 and is member of the Climate Change Business Forum and Sustainable Living Environment Advisory Group of BEC. He is committee member of the China Green Building Council, and member of the Technical Taskforce on Mandatory Implementation of the Building Energy Code of HKSAR Government. Dr Yau was the President of Hong Kong Chapter of the American Society of Heating Ventilating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Regional Vice-Chair of Region XIII (Asia) of ASHRAE. Dr Yau was First Vice-chair and Director of BEAM Society (Hong Kong) and Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council.

He is Chartered Engineer and Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the UK Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.
Dr Yau received the 2019 International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Leadership Award.

Theresa YEUNG Wing Shan

Theresa Yeung is a member of Arup�s East Asia Board, Theresa heads the firm�s planning business across the Region. She is a visionary leader who brings together planners, urban designers, sustainable development experts, traffic consultants and environmental specialists to create smart, green, and resilient urban spaces.

Theresa is passionate to engage the public in the planning and design process, shaping inclusive, welcome developments. She also chairs Arup�s community engagement programme in East Asia, bringing our professional skills to make a real difference in communities where we work.

Theresa sits on a number of important statutory bodies and plays a key role in the planning industry, influencing from policy level. She currently serves as Board Member of the Planners Registration Board, Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners, Member of the Antiquities Advisory Board, Member of the Hong Kong Housing Society, Member of the Corruption Prevention Advisory Committee of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, and Director of Professional Green Building Council.

Wilson YIK Wai Yuen

Wilson specialises in building sustainability through research, teaching and practising for over 18 years. Formerly as Associate (Sustainability) of L&O, he oversees the sustainable design integration of the practice through devising sustainability agendas, formulation of strategic plans and frameworks, capacity building on design and innovation, as well as providing necessary technical supports for the design and implementation of environmentally sensitive and socially cohesive architectural solutions. Wilson currently teaches in the School of Architecture of Chuhai College of Higher Education and HKUSPACE. He also serves as BEAM Faculty (Material Aspects).
